With four Har-Tru courts and four hard courts, there is plenty of opportunity to get out there and swing the racquet. The grounds are lovely, and many PCC tennis enthusiasts spend some time on the patio near the tennis shack socializing after matches. Will you be one of them?

Abilities of all levels are welcome to join in, and the PCC tennis staff is available for lessons. Clinics for young and old are also available, and events happen throughout the season that promise a good time.

Questions? Call the Tennis Center at (203) 281-1007 or michaelgreenberg332@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing you on the courts for some time enjoying this wonderful, lifelong sport.

Paradise Country Club is thrilled that USTPA-certified tennis professional Michael Greenberg has joined PCC as our Head Tennis Professional!

Mike brings over 25 years of tennis experience to the position — as player, coach, and instructor.

He began his playing career at Amity High School where he helped his team win a state championship and was twice an All-League selection.  Mike played four years of tennis at UCONN (lettering all four years) with two years as team captain.

Mike’s coaching credits include four years at St. John’s University as the men’s coach with strong showings in the Big East tournament.  He has also coached girls team tennis at St. Joseph’s High School, Cheshire High School, and Platt High School in Meriden.

As for club instruction, Mike has plenty of experience with it!  He has worked at Paugusset Club, Woodbridge Country Club, New Haven Lawn Club, North Haven Health & Racquet Club, and Tennis Club of Trumbull.

In the non-Paradise months (as if those matter!), Mike is a phys ed/health teacher in the Meriden Public School system.  Mike has been in that system for 19 years, the first 11 of which were spent teaching fourth grade. Mike holds finance, sports management and education degrees from UCONN and the University of Bridgeport.  He lives in Cheshire with his wife Susan and their daughter, Sarah.  His favorite pastimes include reading, hiking and camping.  A truly genial guy, he does get uppity when asked to eat anchovies.
